What makes a Nation Strong are its Citizens and their skills.
In a sense, all the people are soldiers, they contribute something to the general society to make things work.

The Military Fighting Soldiers defend our Nation/Keep the Peace.

The Production Soldiers make things

The Food Soldiers grow food to avert hunger.

But the Planning Soldiers, the Thinking Soldiers, the Solution Guys, have not been doing their jobs of late....

Under Bush, this is getting from Bad To Worse...

1. They definetly weren't doing their jobs months before 9/11.
And in the mad dash to cover their hindquarters, they've lead us into an unnecessary war that plays right into the hands of terrorists.

8. Rice and Rummy has the responsibility to defend America... That
they did not carry out the basic mission confirms their ineptness. They were supposed to see the Yellow Flags, the Red ones too no less. But they chose to overide the warnings leading to the attack of 9/11. Then all we got were excuses.

2. I think along similar lines every morning...
...on the way to work as I pass the seemingly unlimited and growing number of addicts, dealers, whores, homeless, and disabled people who live on the streets.

The local jail is overflowing with petty criminals and homeless who commit crimes just to get a dry place to sleep and warm meals.

9. Increasing Poverty is a sign of a sick Nation... the President should not
be a "WAR PRESIDENT" as it leads to ruin in the long run. Bush is not doing America any favors by his unilateral and arrogant actions/decisions.... He is enriching his friends at the expense of us lower classes. A Narcissist Leader out of control and in a run a way mode. Unless we oust him, there will be more damage to our Nation, perhaps irrevesable....

Liked your post very much. Human resources are the greatest resources. I did leave the unemployed off my list in an oversight. They are standing in line outside the day labor employers every morning looking for work.

Probation and bond are increasingly no longer working for petty criminals. It's too "middle class," it requires money. An increasing number are forced to take jail time. The arraignments are a joke, just about everyone pleads guilty and gets released for time served, the jail is overflowing.

3. If we continue to ship our skilled jobs overseas,
we'll eventually be in a position in which we are totally dependent on foreign workers to keep our hi tech industries, equipment and software running.

5. If we keep concentrating wealth in the hands of the wealth, America will
crumble.

6. Yes. We have become a colony. And as is always the outcome
for colonies, the natural resources will be squandered, the middle class will be obliterated, defense capabilities decimated and the political process will be in total shambles.

The most difficult thing about this ongoing debacle is that the American people are aiding and abetting the process while thinking that they are being patriotic.

It's not patriotic to vote to turn you beloved country over to a band of thieves and murderers.

our leaders of the past and present... guess who made those decisions.... yup, the Ruling Class. Guess who benifits? Yup, the RC Guys.. especially those who have fallen for the 40 pieces of gold...

4. They create the wealth that contributes to the infrastructure. FDR knew as
much.

A big reason we won WWII was because FDR was so committed to building a wealthy middle class as a bulwark to fascism.

7. All Classes contribute toward the Society, some more than others.
But its the Ruling Class that has the most responsibility toward keeping the Nastion healthy wealthy and wise... That they have chosen to back this Bush shows a disregard toward the main goal; instead they go for the greed of self interest and Power/Control for various reasons....

They overlook the most Basic of Rules, include ALL into the Picture in a way that promotes a Good Society. The Pubs have violated this no end....
