Debate advise: "couch the messages in the form of stories"
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/economy/politics.html

"What seems to work are candidates who are able to couch the messages in the form of stories,'' Schroeder said. ``It's a television show and not just another political event. You're trying to make an emotional connection to the viewers.''

In a Sept. 21-23 Time magazine poll, 69 percent of undecided voters said the debates may decide their vote and 24 percent of Bush or Kerry supporters said the face-offs may cause them to change their allegiance. Bush led Kerry 48 percent to 42 percent overall among 877 likely voters in the Time poll. "

1. My own opinion is the stories do not work
Take too much time and everybody thinks they're "staged" and they usually are

3. Absolutely!
John, you MUST speak from your heart, NEVER sweat, and MOST of all DO NOT get ruffled, GET TOUGH!

DO NOT fall into their "get-him-on-the-defensive" trap but, rather, turn-it-around and present, instead, your positive rebuttal, directed ONLY at your viewers.

IGNORE, (other than a respectful demeanor toward your opponent) NEVER REACT to your opponent nor his lies, therein diminishing both.

Refer to him ONLY as "MY OPPONENT".

Finally, and importantly, hard on the haircut and shave, slightly-soft on the clothes, and very-light on the makeup!

John, you've got a lot of friends out here so RELAX, and just talk to us!

For what it's worth, that's my :puffpiece:
