I know that certain people are voting for * just because they think he's such a regular guy and Bush will certainly play that up on Thursday night. You and I know that when Kerry is relaxed he comes across very well also. THat said, I think if JK goes into the debates with the GOAL that he has to make himself seem more "folksy" it will come off as fake and not convert anyone anyway. Where JK CAN convert people is that he always appears more "presidential" than the shrub. He has an aire of confidence and intelligence about him. If he can maintain this in the debates and not appear condescending EVER and, perhaps slip in a clever one liner or 2 then JK might, MIGHT have a chance to come out on top of the master-de-bator that the shrub is. Maybe some undecideds will remember what it was like to have a president who commanded respect.

1. JK may be better off essentially ignoring Shrub
unless he says something that needs a response. JK cannot possibly be all things to all people. He can't address every issue brought up in all the smear ads either. He can, however, come across as a solid, steady adult who knows his stuff. Forget about the boy king standing 10 feet away. Am I nuts?

3. that is exactly what I was thinking jk, needs to speak directly to
the people. not try to debate *, but get his ideas out to the people.

2. Some of the best advice I've seen
Don't waste time trying to make Kerry more "likeable" than Bush, just make him more Presidential. That should be an easy task as long as Kerry doesn't come across as if he's talking down to people, which he tends to do at times.

4. I don't want someone "like me" as prez - I want someone who knows more
than I do and can lead - someone like Bill Clinton. (sigh)
