WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Former Presidential Candidate Gary Bauer announced today a new television ad campaign in Michigan and Pennsylvania which charges that John Kerry has worked against efforts to preserve traditional marriage. Bauer directed the $500,000 buy as president of Americans United to Preserve Marriage (AUPM is a registered independent 527 with the IRS).

"Marriage in the United States must be preserved as the union of one man and one woman," said Bauer. "We believe it is important for the American people to know which candidates will defend traditional marriage."

The ad can be viewed on the Americans United to Preserve Marriage website at: http://www.americansformarriage.org. The text of the ad follows:

2. Take this
multiply it by 10, and you'll get the culture war on Nov. 3rd if Kerry happens to win.

I'm still not sure how gay marriage stops a man and a woman from getting married, but who needs logic in 1934 Ger...I mean, 2004 America.

4. I'm glad to see them wasting their money. . . .
. . .on CRAP LIKE THIS! I think that, especially in a state like Michigan or Pennsylvania which have lost LOTS of industrial jobs, this is a NON-ISSUE.

6. True. Family Values
means families have jobs and some financial security.
That's how you value families.

5. Kerry must do something. Kerry must fight back.
Kerry must launch a full court press against this smear.

Kerry has to get his hands unwrapped from his ankles and stand up like a man.

Kerry needs to run ads accusing Bush of being too liberal for America.

Kerry has to stop letting the DLC run his campaign, take the gloves off, and fight back.

Fire Mary Beth Cahill.

Where's Carville?

Bob Shrum sucks. He's lost every campaign he's been a part of.

Why didn't someone see this coming?

I thought we nominated Kerry because he would fight, but he looks just like Dukakis.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah.

I just saved about 10 people from posting on this thread -- my good deed for the day.

7. I think our side has made some inroads in re-defining 'Liberal' and
taking it back from the flat earth society neocon think tanksters.

Does anyone know how long ago (probably decades) it was that these creeps starting working on making 'Liberal' a dirty word, something to run from?

We should proudly reclaim the moniker and define it for our times.
