Wexler is a saint -- lawsuit revived on paperless ballots

ATLANTA - A federal appeals court on Monday revived a lawsuit seeking a paper trail for that state's new touchscreen voting machines with only five weeks left before the presidential election.

The court told the lower court judge to reopen the case affecting the 15 Florida counties that use voting machines that don't create paper copies.

Three judges from the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals wrote that the federal judge improperly decided not get involved in the lawsuit filed by U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler, a South Florida congressman.

1. Wexler has been an incredibly tireless soldier in the
wars against repuke slime attacks and in holding their feet to the fire. He should get a medal, IMO.

8. I fear it is too late to get a paper trail now.
By the time the courts get through mucking this up, there will not be time to change things. You can be sure the Glenda Hood will not do a thing about this until directly ordered to do so.

I recall bitterly how the courts wasted time in 2000, until the U.S. Supreme Court stepped in, and said it was too late for a full state recount. So they voted Bush in by a 5 to 4 vote. Deja vu?
