Has everyone seen this EFFING "flippercam" (RNC Web site)
Edited on Tue Sep-28-04 12:19 AM by gauguin57
http://www.flippercam.com/

People dressed as dolphins will go around the country to highlight Kerry's alleged flipflopping.

I hope the people who wrote the Flipper theme SUE the bastards.

All I have to say to these assholes is: GET A FUCKING JOB!

1. sad part is the flipper concept was ripped off of mediamatters
i believe - or a similiar website, and was actually directed at gw bush's follies. so they are stupid AND unoriginal

3. Kinda cute but
the unsubstantiated "flipflop" meme is already very weary. I hope they're renting the suits by the day.

4. Most people I know
wouldn't "get" why they are in dolphin suits to begin with.

It just isn't very effective. Give it up bushies, your guy had more flip-flops in four years than Kerry could possibly have in forty.

6. Maybe the voters will finally decide that the RNC are assholes..
..once and for all, and start giving a shit about our military being killed and injured hourly in Iraq. At some point this mean, juvenile, embarrassing shit will turn off all but the most ignorant voters.

Ever go to a party where someone is a bit drunk and makes a joke, some people start laughing a bit.. then the drunk thinks they are Andrew Dice Clay and starts in with more and more, until people can't get away fast enough? The RNC/Bush Campaign have reached that point, they are an EMBARRASSMENT!!!!!

Screw the dolphins, WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE JOBS????????????????????

7. I look forward to seeing the Flippercam picture
of the dolphins being kicked in the head by a guy in a Demo. Donkey suit.

Wonder if the dolphin freaks will put this on their resumes.

2004: Went around the country dressed as a really stupid-looking dolphin.

10. For one thing, because it's PAID FOR BY THE RNC.
These aren't some rogue college kids on a road trip.

I've seen plenty of RNC ads, talking points, etc. posted here -- and this is yet another RNC-sponsored piece of silliness and distortion.

We think they look ridiculous, but the right-wingers will think this is the greatest.

A giant Flipper dude showed up at one of Teresa's campaign appearances in Lancaster, PA. I just think it's good to be aware of what the Pugs are doing, so you can be ready for it.

14. listen, we here already know
what these repuke assholes will do and say. It isn't necessary to posts links to their site to help inflate their hit numbers. BTW, last I knew the rules say posting to conservative sites etc. isn't allowed.

16. You do this all the time - get a grip or ignore it or what.
It's not a bad idea to keep track of what the other party is doing. If you're too sensitive to watch it, well, put the thread on ignore or don't hang out here or whatever. This is part of doing work for our side; maybe you can't handle it.

17. it has nothing to do with being "sensitive"
It has everything to do with quoting "conservative talking points" and linking back to a conservative site there by increasing their hit counts. Hit counts are used for bragging rights and at times monetary gain.

I'm almost sure there was a rule here that said you can not post info and links to known repuke, conservative sites. After looking thru the rules I can't come up with it. If it's no longer part of the rules I wont speak out on this subject anymore but I honestly feels it does nothing of benefit for us and it only helps the repuke cause.

20. So, they quoted "conservative talking points", so?
Big deal. I re-assert my original statement. Hit counts are no big deal. Whatever. And yes it does benefit us - I'll leave it as an exercise for you to figure out how.

24. I don't need the exercise
I already know how it has no benefit to DU and all possible gain for the repuke cause. It's your lack understanding to the contrary that needs to be looked into!

I didn't think it would be to difficult for you to figure out why it's good to find out what the opposition is doing, but I guess I was wrong. Sorry for wasting your time. But please don't waste our time with this nagging.

12. This might backfire--environmental/endangered specis issues.
The first thing this brought to my mind (which of course wouldn't occur to Bushies) is that they represent the environmental/endangered species issues. Even though the public would then be told what the issue is (flipping), the idea is still out there. It could backfire, since this is not a good issue for Bush.

I don't see this as a big thing.

30. Ted Kennedy: Bush is a bigger flip-flopper
Heard what I'm assuming is a re-broadcast of a Ted Kennedy address to GW University (it was ~ 2:00AM)

He said that GWB is the bigger flopper because he keeps changing his justification for the war in Iraq.

That Ted- always able to eloquently state just what I feel.
