Stubborn has many downsides, as seen in the General Custer article on the front of DU.

I think that's what Kerry has to point out. It's too late to go back to address the flip-flopper thing at this point, and having made no effort to defuse that message, the next president of the united states has to point out that stubborness is a weakness that can be devastating.

You know, if you're driving in the wrong direction, stubbornly going on the same way is dumb.

1. So is mine... and agree that Kerry should exploit Chimpy's "steadiness"
as a weakness in the case when the steady course is all wrong. Yes, America "knows where Bush stands", but didn't that get us into a bloody Iraq quagmire, ballooning deficits, escalating healthcare costs, an economy drfiting downward, ruined alliances, etc., etc., etc.?

I think Kerry HAS to turn this Bush 'advantage' into a major disadvantage that America recognizes as a fatal problem in his leadership. Kerry has to work this angle at the coming debate.

4. So what else is stubborn and steady? Need a negative image here
something to put into a word, or a picture that shows the downside of stubborn.

2. No, she has to mature verbally and emotionally
at least a year before she can reach Bush's level, which I guess is our current standard.

3. Actually, she's pretty good with one-liners. Ok, that's all she's got
but I'm sure she will develop a more complex speaking pattern eventually.
