We need a taller horse!! Kerry using humor!!
Kerry was cracking up his partisan crowd by telling Wisconsin voters they shouldn't be wary of changing horses midstream when the horse is drowning. He tied the metaphor to reports that the Bush campaign insisted that podiums in Thursday's debate be set relatively far apart to obscure Kerry's five-inch height advantage.

"May I also suggest that we need a taller horse?" he said. "You can get through deeper waters that way."

Nice article about Kerry using humor and lightening up!!

1. It's a great line. He needs to repeat it at every appearance.
And especially the debate.

2. Scripts and speeches aside, I've heard that Kerry can be
very funny. But he's not used to being funny when he's making the speech.

3. It's nice for him to lighten up. I just hope he doesn't try to force it.
I've noticed him dropping his "g's" recently -- hope someone isn't encouraging him to sound like the "folksy, plain-spoken fellah" (I mean, of course, the completely inarticulate, unintelligible, MORON that is Dubya).

5. Great line, indeed!

And God told His children: "I love you. Play nice."

Would Jesus love a liberal? You bet!

7. I rated this story a 5
Kerry does have a very keen sense of humor unlike * - the good ole boy yuck-yuck-yucking while his shoulders are shaking with his self-absorbed humor.

8. Slick lines

He is also telling the media and us that the Bush campaign is afraid of Kerry.

Now people will be looking to see the difference in height - LOL

Now if he can only get a zinger in before the debates about that ear piece that GW will probably try to conceal.

10. Maybe Bush can ride on Cheney's shoulders...
That way when Bush screws up in the debate Cheney can ride him away to a secret corner and coach him yet again on how to answer to please the VEEP.
