Is Kerry playing Bush the way he played Dean?
Remember when Kerry was out and Dean was in, and all the national press and media attention was on Dean......and Kerry was out kicking some serious rear on the campaign trail, ON THE GROUND, in Iowa and NH?

Something tells me this election won't be won in the national media, but LOCALLY on the streets with voter turnout.

3. The media totally wrote him off too.
And they were shocked when he won Iowa.

4. I hope you are right.
Kerry seems to have good instincts. I hope that is true. The other thing is, a lot of people are pissed and realize the media is full of shit. THey will vote for Kerry regardless. Sadly, I also think the media had a lot to do with Dean's demise too. That worries me. They won't do to Bush what they did to Dean.

5. they are pack animals
they swarm on the downed animal - when Bush went down they gleefully attacked him. When Kerry started down they gladly jumped on his back for the ride. Acting like a pack of wolves is easier than doing real reporting.

6. When did they jump on Bush?
Maybe a little in May/June but I did not notice that they attacked him with the same fervor that they attacked Dean or are attacking Kerry.

8. no, you are right
it wasn't much, but when he was down a little they joined the party until a hint of the swing the other way and they jumped back on Kerry.

7. The media turned against Dean leading up to the primaries
They will be against Kerry leading up to the election. If Kerry is hoping for a stealth campaign, he might as well write his concession speech now.
