Is Fox News filming the *debate* for the other networks to carry?
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/09/28/politics/campaign/28debate.html?ex=1254110400&en=aa79b1ee45bf01a7&ei=5090&partner=rssuserland

Debate commission officials also said they could not and would not enforce the agreement's stipulation that network cameras refrain from showing Mr. Bush when Mr. Kerry was speaking, and vice versa.

"There are certain things that are clearly beyond our control," said Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr., a co-chairman of the commission. "We don't control the feed so we don't know what the networks are going to show; that's not within our purview."

Paul Schur, a spokesman for the Fox News Channel, which is telecasting the first debate on Thursday for the major news networks planning to carry it, said, "Because of journalistic standards, we're not going to follow outside restrictions."

3. This could be good
(as far as I can tell, anyway)

Note that the "outside restrictions" that Fox (and all the other networks, who will be getting the Fox feed) won't be following are Bush's restrictions--especially the "only-show-the-speaker" restriction cited above.

And keep in mind that most or all of the other restrictions were insisted on by BC04, as Rove's way of stage-managing his little sock-monkey. The restrictions include (from the article) "a strict time limit on candidate responses, an electronic warning when candidates exceed their speaking time that can be seen and heard by viewers at home, and a prohibition against the candidates' directly posing questions to each other."

Anytime that the whorish media--especially the ultrawhores of Fox--decide to actually do their jobs rather than go along with Bush's arbitrary limits on reporting, it's a good thing.

Then again, maybe Fox has found a way to do their Dark Lord's bidding, in which case, this won't be good at all.

5. Uh-oh, strict time limit on candidate response -
"Mr. Kerry, your response?"

"Well, I -" BEEEEEP!

"Sorry, your time is up."

-------

"Mr. Bush, your response?"

"Uh, well, um, you see, uh, . . . so, as you see, uh, . . . 9/11 changed everything, and besides, it's Bick Lentell's fault. Ow, my ear! I mean, it's Bill Clinton's fault!"

"Sir, you have more time left."

--------

Morning show commentators - "Well, it's easy to see, Bush won the debate hands down. Kerry didn't have anything to say in response to anything! A grand-slam home run for George Bush. I wasn't this excited when Hank Aaron passed Babe Ruth!"
