1. How many folks were there?
Do you feel like you got anything accomplished?

4. It was a last minute event...
so not many. I understand it to have been organized in 2 days, but don't quote me on that. It was in Pittsburgh, so there were quite a few unions represented. There were no problems, no interlopers, so that was good. Kristen Brietweiser spoke and was well received. John was fantastic. If everyone in that room was already voting for Kerry (which is very possible), we still could walk away with the motivation to work our butts off and end strong.

5. We are. No doubt.
And if we don't (God forbid), you won't be able to blame Pittsburgh.

3. Were there more ladies at the front of the "handshake" line...
Than men? After our rally here a month ago, I noticed that most requests for him to pose for a picture were from the women in the line!:D

It would be a treat, indeed, to see the gender gap disparity between John Edwards and Cheney!:7

B-)

7. there was a mix ...
there were a number of union guys that sat directly behind the stage, so they were pretty visible in the handshake line. The women were there, to be sure - and I guarantee Cheney can't hold a candle to JE's appeal (intellectual and, ahem ... otherwise). It was a very diverse crowd. There was a young woman (just turned 18) from State College, PA who was good and revved up. She told of how thousands of women have come before the White House in order to be heard and * ignored them. This is the first time I've heard women's issues directly addressed, and am grateful. There was a young man who managed to get a photo with JE ... who's shirt read "John Edwards is HOT!".

6. What were the topic issues?
He's coming to the Dayton, Ohio area very soon...it's been kept kind of quiet for we are under attack here by the repugs! Harrassment runs rampit.

I got my tickets because of my nurse legislative liasion status. I'm going with a medical group.......Things are hot; tension is high....the repugs are dirty as hell here!

8. He gave sort of a broad overview ...
an update if you will, to address recent statements and/or events. He basically recapped the fundamental differences between the candidates. He then turned the mike over to Kristen. When it came time for questions, he encouraged people and said he was willing to answer anything. This was a town meeting setting - so he wasn't addressing a particular topic. I do think he handled the questions well, and was straightforward.
