CBS News - story on the "single issue voter" ----- the DRAFT
Clearly people are concerned about the DRAFT and people are

trying to see "who they are safer with"...

------------------------------------------------------------

Beverly Cocco has spent most of her life protecting children in Philadelphia.

She spends most of her time worrying about other people's kids. But as Election Day approaches, it's her own two grown sons who Beverly is most worried about.

"I go to bed every night and I pray and I actually get sick to my stomach," she says. "I'm very worried; I'm scared. I'm absolutely scared; I'm petrified."

3. To easy to lie.
All Bush has to do is deny the draft story and if he is relected, he has the draft. What in the hell would he care what people think. He is a lame duck president then and that is what makes him so dangerous.

4. CBS has credibility issues
I am afraid that many voters will dismiss the stories run by CBS due to the document scandal. Like it or not, important stories like these on CBS will be given less credibility which is a shame.

7. Beverly is such a beautiful person...
... a Bush supporter so long as it's other people's children who are put at risk.

9. Single-issue voter == umbassday
Voting for a candidate based on a single issue is a demonstration of laziness, stupidity or both.

10. I like to point out that IF
Dubya should somehow remain in office that I will in no way oppose the draft but will only campaign to make it all inclusive. No sweet no deployment National Guard unit, no college deferment, no marriage deferment, no I have other priorities deferment, no I'm too rich to do that deferment. And that all those that are retired after 20 years active but that are below mandatory military retirement age get reactivated. And that no Guard or Reserves has to go twice before every unit has gone once. After all we are "fighting the terrorists over there so we don't have to fight them here". If you support that fine, put your kid or your own ass where your mouth is.

11. Personally, I've become a proponent of restoring the Draft...
... or even mandatory military service. Far too many Americans are all too willing to send other kids off to war in order to keep their gas prices down, and having some skin in the game would tend to make the public less supportive of elective wars such as what we now have.

12. PSn--I'm so with you
I will campaign FOR a drat. I will campaign that no bastard with 2 kids, new home in suburbia and a college degree under the age of 35 is immune. I WANT THEM TO DIE FOR BUSH. They love him...let them DIE for him. Or minimum, let their kiddies lose the house in the burbs while they are gone to fight for him. I want an army of the educated, not the poor. I DEMAND they die for this country. I DEMAND that they not worry about the children they leave behind. Let them put their chickenshit blood where their vote is.

13. If she is worried about the draft, then she should not be voting for the
man who created the situation for which a draft would be used. What a lunkhead...a selfish lunkhead.
