Not the Miss. America pageant. People please, there was an America before there was TV, there is waaaaaaaaaaaay too much emphasis on looks and how a person looks and what they wear. George Washington in his tights and Martha and he in their wigs would have never passed the test. Crossing the Potomac and talking about his military at Valley Forge would be too exaggerated and not important and Washington would have been dubbed as too chummy with that French lover Ben Franklin. His wife was an elitist and had big bucks and not much to look at. Lets just not even go to what they would have done to Jesus and his sandals.

...but, in today's image conscious world (fed by the press and media), looks, weight, carriage, etc., are attributes that some voters use to pick a candidate -- rightly or wrongly. Not everyone is a rabid partisan like we may be. But in response to your charge, I'm no John Edwards, but I ain't no slouch either :)

Elizabeth Edwards isn`t trying out for a Barbie contest, she`s articulating the Kerry/Edwards positions on very serious issues. She`s intelligent, articulate, compassionate and very, very real.

Let`s leave the shallow chatter to the CNN anchors. I for one am thrilled that Democrats have such an eloquent spokesperson.
