We should track the voting irregularities GOP Secs of State are perp'ing
this election.

For example:

1) Blackwell's bogus 80 lb. stock rule for voter registration forms--which he puts into effect now that it's obvious that new voter registrations are flooding his office!

2) Jeb Bush is still fucking around with felon purges, making a list with only 61 Hispanic names compared to thousands of African Americans.

1. Arizona
election officials are feeding misinformation to Fox News, which broadcasts a report intimidating students from registering.

2. Minnesota

County elections officials from across Minnesota say the Secretary of State has overstepped her authority, by making changes to election policy without allowing public debate or legislative review.

St. Paul, Minn. — The presidential election is about 100 days away. Minnesota's preparations are in full swing, including complying with the federal Help America Vote Act, or HAVA.

The law was passed in 2002, a response to the voting debacle in Florida during the 2000 presidential election.

The law provides money for states to replace aging ballot machines. It also requires changes to the voter registration process.

Secretary of State Mary Kiffmeyer says most of the law deals with the minutiae of voting -- technical things like how big a voter registration card is, and how much it weighs. Kiffmeyer says HAVA will streamline the voting process.

3. These people are evil.
I know what you described does not compare with murder, but she is clearly pulling shit. That's what Republicans do: they just keep pulling shit.

4. Yep, and I heard a report today, but can't find it anywhere that MN is out
of voter registration cards. Early registration ends soon and we won't have cards available until Friday - 4 days without cards - they come in late on Friday, miss another weekend of registration. Sweet. :puke:

I'll keep looking for that link.

6. Don't forget Kiffmeyer's plan to post terra warnings at the polls.
She wants to post flyers at polling stations warning voters to be on the lookout for "suspicious" characters that may try to disrupt the election.

7. Minnesota - finally found a link for low orders on registration forms
http://news.minnesota.publicradio.org/headlines/
snip...
Meighan Stone, communications director for America Coming Together, or ACT, says ACT has already registered 10,000 new voters in Minnesota. She said the cards are critical, with the deadline to pre-register in just two weeks.

"It's hard for us to understand how a Secretary of State responsible for elections could run out of cards, especially this close to the pre-registration deadline. Every day that we lose, every day that a person who wants to have a voter registration drive in their community, or maybe a volunteer who wants to grab a clipboard and go into a neighborhood, every day that they lose being able to easily get those materials is a day lost," she said.
