Has anything good happened to the Kerry Campaign Today?
Everything I hear even on NPR has been vicious or negative. I am trying to keep motivated but this Chinese water torture of negativity is getting to me. I just can't deal with the fact that so many people seem to support the most incompetant and evil president in our history! And so many really think an AWOL chimp has more integrity and courage than a war hero! And so many believe that "man of the people crap" considering his background!
They have taken every good thing about our candidates and turned them into a negative. Nothing our candidates have is considered valuable.
Whe before has heroism and brains been a fault? In Edwards case, his looks and charm are used dimissively.I heard him referred to as "Johnny Edwards" dozens of times today. Who would have thought good looks and a youthful appearance would hurt a candidate?
I think I am having a breakdown. I can't deal with this. I am saddened that I will have to leave my country if this is what is slated for the future.

2. Kerry was endorsed by a Crawford Texas newspaper
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 12:40 AM by JI7
which is where Bush's ranch is. and it's a paper that endorsed Bush in 2000.

here is a link to a thread on it :

8. That means something ...

The endorsement in and of itself may mean little, but the fact of its existence means something substantial. It's the reason that despite what a lot of people seem destined to want to believe in their pessimistic mode, I just can't take a lot of the crap about how Bush is leading this race very seriously.

I can't fully explain why the polls are the way they are. I don't think anyone can, but I do know that, based on things like this, there is a lot of disatisfaction with the way things are, and a great deal of that disatisfaction is aimed straight at Bush by people who formerly supported him.

I also tend to think that the more shrill the attacks on Kerry, the more it is emphasized, almost desperately, that Bush's support is solid, the more this indicates that something is very wrong with Bush's campaign, and he or at least his handlers know it. The Republican line, if you look at it closely, doesn't exude confidence. Real confidence isn't expressed in that way. The rash, baseless attacks aren't necessary, and considering the potential for a backfire aren't smart, if the candidate issuing them truly has that solid a lead.

3. Really really really good stuff happened today
but I can't get into it. Sorry to sound all cloak-and-dagger, but take my word for it. Let NPR and the TV networks babble. The Kerry folks are getting ready for the debate. GETTING READY, understand? It's going to be something to see indeed. ;)

Chin up. There's some walking yet to go.

10. Thanks Will,
I needed that. I was going to do a little PR with the advance team and felt so slogged out I didn't want to pick up the phone. Maybe I'll see if I can sneak your info out of them! LOL!

13. Will, I hope to God that you know something positive that we don't...
because I'm hoping that when Kerry is finished debating Bush, he won't even have so much as a smirk left on his face. Thanks for giving us a heads up (sort of). We all do appreciate it.

4. I really don't think there is need to despair.
NPR didn't sound negative to me today! Maybe it's your frame of mind. Get out a little more. Think positive and don't listen to the BS!

you're NOT having a breakdown

Your local campaign office can find something to keep your mind off the Goebbels-spew.
