Remember the "Electability" theme?
All those thousands of primary voters who flocked to Kerry because he was so frigging electable?

I'm so enraged at Kerry's "above the fray" attitude, as if being noble is going to win this election. He should have been pounding away at Bush's flaws and failures, and instead he let a six week diversion about what he did or did not do in Vietnam take all the attention away from the real issues.

Every time I catch Dean on TV (he was on the Charlie Rose show the other night) I remember all over again why I supported him, and I get angry and sad all over again that he's not the nominee.

The unfortunate thing about the ABB -- anyone but Bush -- crap is that yep, we now have anyone but Bush.

Don't get me wrong, I won't vote for W, but if I bother to pull the lever for Kerry (and I live in Kansas so I know my vote for him won't matter) it won't be with any enthusiasm.

1. E V E R Y vote counts
Just like in 2000, the Bush campaign may be prepared to challenge the Electoral College if Bush (miraculously) wins the popular vote but not the EC.

Further, I don't view any states as solidly Bush's. The polls have been shown to be wildly biased in favor of Bush/Republicans, so more states may be in play that we are being allowed to believe. (Note that I say this without looking at Kansas' polls, and without having read Thomas Frank's book.)

A Clark supporter... and Kerry voter.

I'll be scribbling a line for Kerry too. (sigh)

Electability my ass....what a joke

He'd better pull a hat trick in the debates.

I'm an expat living in another country who is voting by absentee ballot, and who is doing all he can for Kerry even though I supported Dean in the Primaries. I'm proud to call Kerry my party's nominee and will gladly vote for him because I think he'll make a helluva President. And I'm also proud the Dean is doing all he can to get Kerry elected, too.

Ain't life wonderful?

5. Dean was NOT electable
Sorry to say, because I did financially support him, but he just wasn't electable.

Kerry has run an awful campaign, in my estimation. He has the same problem every electable Dem has - an unwillingness to attack. I dispair for the party because of that. But Kerry's inability to mount an effective campaign doesn't change the fact that Dean wasn't an electable candidate. I watched the Dean scream live, after watching him shoot himself in the foot with lots of other statements -- and my just heart sank.

The problem is probably less with our candidates and more with the "dem strategists" who frankly, suck. But then again, it's our candidates who listen to them.
