Rasmussen Consumer Index Continues Downward, My Evaluation of EV.
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 07:43 AM by louis c
Rasmussen consumer index is sinking like a stone, and the number of Americans who believe this country is in a recession is 39%. This info for 9/29 was just released.

On another front, I have been analyzing Rasmussen's state by state polling numbers used to compile his electoral vote projection. By assigning these states, regardless of the lead to each candidate, his projection of 213-196, Bush, goes to 269-259, Bush, with Minnesota tied with 10.

However, if we see just a modest 2 point Kerry gain in these states, the whole picture changes. I believe that we can do that, and historically, challengers have moved undecideds their way in the closing weeks. Rasmussen, although he doesn't include Nader in his polls, still shows between 2 and 3 points for "Other" in most polls. What I'm saying is that there is room for Kerry to capture another 2 points, especially if he does well in the first debate.

My numbers if the 2 points is added to Kerry in every battleground state is Kerry 303, Bush 220 with Wisconsin and Nevada tied with 15
electoral votes. So, you can really see how very close this election is, and that every vote counts, and every move is important.
