It's the blog of Raed's (of Salam Pax fame) Mom in Baghdad. I had been aware of it for a while but just took the time to read most of it yesterday. It's very powerful. She has a great deal of wisdom and asks some really pertinent and some truly unanswerable questions.

For some reason I couldn't snip any of the text but if you go there, skip over the ????? (presumably Arabic text) and find the translations below.

She did mention this parable though. . .

"They asked the Pharaoh, why have you become an unjust tyrant? And he said, "Nobody stopped me in my limits."

She's pleading with us Americans to stop Bush and ask him some questions. . .as if. . .

Her story really specifically elucidates how badly we've botched it over there. Would be great ammo for the debate.

Having read riverbend for over a year, it was really interesting to contrast their voices and perceptions.
