My housekeeper is a legal alien but has three able to vote children,
but she does not know if they are registered. I don't want to register Bush supporters but feel it is wrong to ask about this before making sure they are registered. Her English is not too good but she laughed when I said that we needed to get rid of *bush. Okay, I'm going to get her the cards anyway. Because I am a Democrat and we do have consciences. Should I just give them the forms?

1. I would.
Maybe a copy of Clinton's book too as a bonus? You might find a lot of information online that's printed in spanish about voting from the secretary of state's website.

And you're going to have to be extra nice for the next 5 weeks, that includes those moments when she comes barging into your bedroom at 730am to vacuume.

3. Just ask her. What is the harm?
Ask them if they are Bush supporters.

4. Well, I feel that is not really my business and I try to be respectful of
her privacy. Since it would not even be her but her children and I am in Texas, I feel that they may like *bush. Anyway, I've decided to give them the forms, try to feel them out and then not call back to see if they have been done if it looks like it's the boy pretend pres.

5. Really...
That might be a bit inappropriate. It might place pressure on the housekeeper to answer a certain way to maintain employment. I'm not saying that it's going to happen, but someone might interpret it like that. Also, if she should happen to fire this woman in the near future, she could claim that it was because of her response to the question.

7. She is such a valuable asset, I would never get rid of her. She is kind,
reliable and hard working. I would NEVER fire her. She only works here 1 day a week and people are always asking if she has any spare time. She is a treasure and I am lucky to have her and I know it.

6. Do they read "Baldo"?
The Houston Chronicle carries this strip--it's usually not political, but this appeared yesterday:

Yes, give her the forms. No need to pressure her.
