Young men may vote "no confidence" in W--Zogby; 60% say war was wrong
decision. This is a very interesting analysis and certainly makes sense when you factor in the possibility of a draft.

"Most political pundits believe that the final month of the 2004 presidential campaign will center around the war in Iraq. If so, then young men are likely to cast a vote of “no confidence” in George W. Bush. These are the findings of a new Zogby/Williams Identity poll conducted by Zogby Interactive from September 3 through September 7, 2004."

I got this via americablog, which is a terrific site. He also has pictures debunking the "orange" Kerry photos on Drudge (scroll down).

"ZOGBY: Bush in SERIOUS trouble with young male voters" and, further down: "Did Drudge doctor anti-Kerry photos?"

3. The importance of this cannot be overstated.
First, this number is likely to rise as concerns about a draft rise. And for people who think that these "rumors" are a cheap shot, get over it. If they were completely baseless, they wouldn't stick.

Second, this number means nothing if their "protest vote" is in their head. Turnout is key.

Every additional demographic we pick up puts us that much closer to a comfortable victory.

5. Regarding Drudge doctoring Kerry photos
I have access to the AP feed of photos and on 9-28-04 & 09-27-04 Kerry does not look orange.

6. GASP!!
Drudge? Trying to make Kerry look silly on a trivial matter? Falsifying a picture?

I'll never believe it. NEVER damn you!

8. Other additional demographics Kerry could pick up are mentioned here...
"New Study Targets Key Groups for Kerry Gains
John Kerry can make major gains among key demographic groups of discontented white voters: women blue and pink collar workers; rural voters; those under age 30; and senior women, according to a study of post-Labor Day polls by Democracy Corps reported 9/28. The study also identified other demographic groups Kerry should target for significant gains."

7. My 21 year old son is one of those young men, and he and his friends
can't wait to vote Bush out of office. Both male and females are very concerned about the draft and the huge deficit that they will have to pay for.

Also, my friend's 20 year old son got registration forms from me so he and his friends can vote. His high school classmate was killed in Iraq. The funeral is today.
