5. I voted for him last time, and there's NO WAY IN HELL I will this time.

Pulling a straight Dem party line at the polls. F&*(K the Republicans, dangerous bunch of religious fanatic lunatics that they are.

3. No, it's from a self-proclaimed Naderite on my board.
I think he's a freeper in nader-drag.

4. Thus he saith unto the Naderites...
And I will strike down with great vengeance and terrible anger all those who would weaken and destroy my brothas!

And the Naderites did feast on cabbages, and pigs heads, and mangoes in syrup...

7. speaking of Naderites- I need help with an analogy
I've been trying to come up with a good one to use about why voting for Kerry is so important

The ones I speak with are so anti-establishment and they want to make a statement by voting for Other. They just don't seem to get it.

I've been running this through my head:

A building is on fire - of course you want to put out the fire and salvage the building, but you save the people inside first.

Where am I going with this? My brain is fried. Help Please?! Anybody?

8. Arriana Huffington put it well.
She said something along the lines of "when your house is on fire, you don't worry about remodelling". You can probably get some good ideas from her latest book. I havn't gotten around to buying it yet, so I don't know what all is in it, but I think you may find it helpful.

I think she voted for Nader last time, though I'm not sure. I voted for him, but I'm probably not a typical Nader voter. I wasn't so much anti-establishment as I was just a disgruntled Democrat, unhappy with Al Gore.

Maybe just talk about how big the stakes are this time, and that, although it's OK most years, this year we simply can't afford to throw our votes away on statements. Maybe tell them that if Bush wins and they get drafted, you'll laugh in their faces.

10. Well maybe that is why I had this "house on fire" idea in my head -
I heard it somewhere before. No original thoughts here, eh? :dunce:

9. Um...HELLO. There aren't any Naderites any more
Sure, there will be some people who vote for Nader, but 99.9% of those who voted for Nader last time will be voting for Kerry or Cobb (Green Party) this time, not Nader.

Not sure who's going to vote for Nader this time...

11. Some dumb kids
who are voting in their first election, don't understand what the real stakes are, and think it's "cool". The Daily Show actually did a segment where they interviewed some of those kids a few months ago.

12. I'm not certain there are really any Naderites left...
Not real ones anyways. I have a firm belief that anyone who still pretends to support Nader is actually just a Republican trying to stir up trouble on the left.
