Debate: The first time Bush will be confronted, accused to his face.....
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 02:54 PM by ItsMyParty
A reporter today made an off-hand remark regarding the upcoming debates that Bush has never been questioned, confronted, accused to his face. Indeed---reporters, interviewers, etc. have all played soft ball with him. Therefore, this is the first time he has to stand there and be, in essence, called 'inept', 'failure', 'living in a fantasy world', 'totally messed up the war', 'hated by our allies','not in charge', 'corrupt', 'weakleader'.............ahhhhhh, how long do you think direct and indirect charges like that can go on before he cannot hold it together?? Yes, as many have predicted in other threads, this will be the first, last and only debate. Now, I wonder if asswipe, himself, breaks the rules if he can count that as "the rules have been boken" and cancel the other debates?!!?!? He will never make it through three of these. And when he doesn't, may the cry of "WHIMP" go out throughout the land because as Kitty reveals, he is scared to death of having the label placed on him.

1. They aren't allowed to address each other directly
so unless the moderator calls him a failure and a wimp and inept, it will only be done indirectly by Kerry. No confronting him with it directly.

2. Yeah, but Kerry can talk "about" Shrub in his time...
and refer to him in the third person

3. Although they can't address each other directly, it's a sure bet
that Kerry will talk about the coWard's "inept" record, which has indeed been a "failure". Kerry will be talking to the people about why a change in administrations is needed.

And if the coWard does wimp out of the next two debates, why can't Kerry arrange for televised solo townhall meetings with the voters asking the questions?

6. I'm not talking about directly saying those words. But that is what
Kerry will in essence be saying. In fact Kerry already is using the words "fantasy world" and "total failure in the war", etc. He can rattle off to the camera why he thinks Bush is inept and use those words, he just can't point a finger and directly go at him.

8. It could happen. He does surround himself with kiss-ups and sycophants.
He sure isn't used to taking sh*t-talking from someone standing 10 feet away. I'm sure Kerry will say things like "I'd like to ask Mr. Bush why . . . " or "I'd like to understand why Mr. Bush . . . "

Can he use "Mr." instead of "President?"

11. Bush will cry and that will be the end of the debates
He can not handle criticism and that is why they control all of his appearances.

I hope Kerry goes after him hard. Bush may have "out-Texased" Ann Richards when he debated her, but he is way,way out of his league against Kerry.

No worries.
