I FINALLY received a response from the "honorable" Mr Shadegg regarding his comments at the Rethug Convention....

He is still a bass-turd (notice the comment about his "mis-represented" comment), but at least he says he agrees it was inappropriate. I was suprised to hear from him to tell ya the truth being that I am in Iowa and not a constituent.

Thank you for contacting me regarding news reports misrepresenting
some of my comments to a group of delegates from my region at the
Republican National Convention.

While the quoted comment was taken out of context in the story you
read, upon reflection, I feel it was inappropriate and I am sorry if

Something to the affect that all of Kerry's supporters "must have mental health problems" and then added "I will probably get in trouble for that".

I had sent him an email berating him for being insensitive to the health problems of thousands (if not millions) of americans, republicans included (hell, the President included).
