Sooo, how long (after Kerry kicks Bush's arse in the debate) will it take
for the ORANGE ALERT ??

I'd guess it's within two days ...

The media seemed to forget all about the one that happened right after the Democratic Convention. hmmm.

2. CNN this morning talked about alerts already
They said no specific intelligence, but we should be aware of the possibility of terrorists attacking the debates.

5. If anything I expect the existing alerts to be lowered............
because, you see, the media will TELL the American people after the debates that Kerry lost, lost big time, it was his only hope and he blew it, and that, indeed, George is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and shall reign forever and ever and ever. Amen. The word will go out upon the land on Friday that "it is over" and John gave up the ghost and died, nailed to the cross. We are not just fighting "City Hall" here, folks, we are fighting the most money and power ever assembled in the history of mankind.

7. The media talking heads have already given it to Bush...
with statements like "it's Kerry's debate to lose," "Kerry will have a tough job making himself appear likable," "Bush has the advantage because he is more easy-going and likable." Blah blah blah.

9. There was an entire op-ed piece in
today's USA Today that said just that, that it was usually the more "likable" person that people will think win debates, and not the smartest person. He traced it to America's anti-intellectualism. It's really sickening when you think that millions of idiots vote on nothing more than what they perceive as the "likability" of a candidate.

10. And that strain of anti-intellectualism comes from the Republicans.
They have ridiculed "lib'rul" academia and have made fun of Democrats' complex answers for complex problems. They have sown a distrust for the "lib'rul" media and so now people get their news pre-digested from FOX or Drudge or Rush. They want people to believe that Bush is a regular guy who would be fun to have a drink with. The reality is that Bush would never stoop to have a drink with working folks. It's no wonder why the Crawford, Texas newspaper is endorsing Kerry- people in Crawford have learned to see through Bush's down-home bullshit...

Sorry about the rant- you probably knew all this anyway.
