1. Bravo!
It's too bad we didn't have this out there over the summer. I'll be working on putting up some on flyers on Friday night.

2. Great job
I wish it weren't so close to the election, but maybe it'll help.

4. Magnificient - DNC finally using the base
We should've had this much earlier. There are so many people on our side who desperately wanted something to do, to get out a powerful, consistent simple message.

Has the DNC finally realized the need to use the base instead of distancing themselves from it ? Are they finally figuring out an energized base will do anything for the party, and has a ripple effect throughout the mainstream culture -- which ultimately decides the election.

6. Being a web designer just a few points in order to make it better.
The masking is good, however, one problem with you're masking is repeating it over and over again. Do the masking, but stop after the reveal is finished. Non-stop animation makes it harder for the viewer to focus in on text.

Second, is reverse you're roll over blur effect. The sequence that you have used is to blur it when the mouse comes within contact. You should never blur to where the users can not read the text when rolled over. Have it blurred and then when you roll over it bring the full text out.

Sound would be good. Two ways of doing sound in flash one is to directly place the sound on a layer. This is easy to do. However, not the best. Best way is to PLAY sound is with a method and then have the sound dumped from memory afterwords. Lower the sound to monotone and keep the size as small as possible with mp3 converters.I hope my advise doesn't seem picky; but this is something we used to do at the college I went to, Art Institute of Dallas.

8. It could have been on my side.
I didn't hear anything; but lately my computer has been messing up some with flash on sound. I think it's due to needing a reboot on my end. If it is there I am sorry about that on the sound part.

10. As a fellow web designer I have to say...
your advise does seem a bit picky :) The overall effect is great, and the message gets across loud and clear. But if I may take a moment to be extra picky, the Hawthorne quote is a bit much in my opinion. This seems aimed clearly at the base (who else would go to the website?) so I guess it's OK but I hope any other materials are a little simpler and less heavy on text. I guess this is similar to the criticism you're making: the quotes at the bottom get a liittle lost with everything else that's going on. If those points were really driven home more forcefully the effect would be even more powerful.

12. can't help it they drilled us to be that way lol
I still remember portfolio class and how nerve racking it was. They gave us quarters not semesters for each class which was 11 week period. We had to finish a whole project in less then 11 weeks by ourselves.

First 2 weeks were used for brainstorming and flow charting. 3rd week to 5th week was having everything finished. I still remember the stress of trying to make sure everything worked correctly. Most of us would do the work the night before; but even then we weren't for sure how working between PC and Macs would effect our projects.

Then we would have to get up in front of the whole class one by one and demonstrate the project. The hardest part was to know afterwords they were going to nitpick at every little thing you thought was perfect. The best advise though is to allow use the advise that you feel will help improve the site. Remember this is just advise and we aren't trying to say it is bad; but point out possibilities of improvement that could give potential of being better.

13. Great! But needs a Mute button!
The flash is very effective, well done!

But the music creates a problem. People browsing at the office or in other quiet environments don't like web sites that play sound with no warning and no "mute audio" option. When I'm at work, and somebody sends me a link, and I curiously click on it - and loud audio suddenly starts blaring out and drawing curious looks from everybody in the cube-farm, what do I do? I have about two seconds to either mute it or kill the window before co-workers start getting annoyed.

Please add a button to toggle the audio!

Another suggestion - it would be great to have a link to a "downloads" page with some of the printable images.
