John Stewert is BRILLIANT tonight
He took the 'Stoned Slacker' comment and LAMBASTED O'Lielly with the report on how Daily Hosw viewers are more educated and up to date on current events than Faux News and other cable news watchers. He seemed to use this as a springboard to a 5 minute tirade letting us know where he REALLY stands and what is REALLY going on with the 'liberal media'. He then did his obligatory Kerry jab - but harmless, funny humor...then they go to this report at the 'debate' site where this 'reporter' exposes how the networks write their sotries well in advanced based on probable outcome, then spin it to fit the story because they are lazy...and what they are really there to do is see if anyone sweats, because that may cost them the election...Hilarious! Recorded and will be posted in AM at the latest on my site

6.  his stuff on kerry is, unfortunately, obligatory
but yeah, i was enjoying this show tonight. showing the clips of oreilly interviewing bush and showing how bush didnt exactly deny their complicity with the smear boat vets "not to my knowledge", etc

tomorrows should be interesting since its a debate night special

14. yeah, and he was correct in what he was saying
about kerry. from the clip that he showed, he has a point...

but of course, its tough to see any criticism of kerry. not so much because i want only bush to be ridiculed (ok i do) but its because media is so beyond group-shilling for bush that i want to see some balance by watching a show that does nothing but take bush out to the shed!

cant have everything i guess....

12. Hint to Kerry Q: Was it worth it? A: No
Here are the Good Morning America quotes from the Daily Show.
Does Kerry even realize that, win or lose, the Iraq war WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA?

DIANE SAWYER: Was the war in Iraq worth it?

JOHN KERRY: We should not have gone to war knowing the information that we know today.

DS: So it was not worth it.

JK: We should not -- it depends on the outcome ultimately -- and that
depends on the leadership. And we need better leadership to get the job done successfully, but I would not have gone to war knowing that there was no imminent threat -- there were no weapons of mass destruction -- there was no connection of Al Qaeda - to Saddam Hussein! The president misled the American people -- plain and simple. Bottom line.

DS: So if it turns out okay, it was worth it?

JK: No.

DS: But right now it wasn't < . ? . >--

JK: It was a mistake to do what he did, but we have to succeed now that we've done what he's -- I mean look -- we have to succeed. But was it worth -- as you asked the question -- $200 billion and taking the focus off of Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda? That's the question. The test of the presidency was whether or not you should have gone to war to get rid of him. I think, had the inspectors continued, had we done other things -- there were plenty of ways to keep the pressure on Saddam Hussein.

DS: But no way to get rid of him.

JK: Oh, sure there were. Oh, yes there were. Absolutely.

DS: So you're saying that today, even if Saddam Hussein were in power today it would be a better thing -- you would prefer that . . .

JK: No, I would not prefer that. And Diane - don't twist here.
