Wussy easterners hafta turn in at 9:00, or what?

Me, I'll be coming home from work when the damn thing is over. Can't wait for the CNN "highlights".

Fuck, man.

1. How west are you?
I'm in California, and it's starting at 1800 here.

8. Really? I'm on Vancouver Island. Same time zone.
And the ads have all been saying 7:00 pm eastern.

I presume it's live.

16. Debate starts at 9, CNN coverage starts at 7
I dont' know what CNN will be doing for two whole hours before the actual debate starts, but their ads say 7PM.

BTW, it cracked me up to read that part of Bush's preperation for the debates was staying up "late". His normal bedtime is 9 PM. It's not like he gets up at 4AM. Then again, the more hours he spends asleep, the fewer he has to spend screwing up more domestic and foreign policy. Maybe I shouldn't complain. :)

3. Um, it starts at 6 on the west coast
cause 6 is pretty much the nationwide accepted time for most 9-5ers getting home by time.

9. Vancouver is in the same lattitude as the US west coast
Why would they have a different timezone? It's right above Washington state.

10. Yeah, we have a 30-hour day here, that must be it. LOL.
Something you'd appreciate if you've ever seen Rick Mercer "talking to Americans".

Looking more and more like I'm getting messed up by this "7:00 eastern" thing. Maybe there's a pre-game show?

We in NYC SHOULD tune in at MIDNIGHT so that CANADIENS can watch the debates at a REASONABLE hour.

:smoke:

I jest... that is a real drag. Can't you tape 'em or something? They're on at 6.

14. Sorry, folks.
I saw an ad on CNN earlier today and they said something about 7:00 pm eastern time.

It must be a couple of hours of pundits in advance of the real thing.

Oh, boy, I hope Tucker's in there somewhere.

15. Most of the primary debates started early. Pissed me off too.
Between that and the FAUX domination of the whole process, it's enough to make you think they're deliberately trying to discourage people from watching the debates.
