Wasn't pretzel story a cover up?

I swear I read someplace in a pretty reputable source that he was in a room watching football and drinking.

He supposedly was drunk, fell or fainted and hit his head on a table. Security quickly concocted this phoney story and fed it to the press.

Am I in outer space or did anybody hear this?
