This morning on a state network farm report, Dale Minyo began by getting on his soap box about Congress' failure to pass the energy bill. He proceeded by complaining that you always hear John Kerry telling about how he would deal with Iraq on this front and that front. If Kerry really wants to show leadership, why doesn't he round up around 60 of his Senate colleagues and pass the energy bill.
Well, for one thing, Mr. Minyo, Kerry is in the minority party. The Republicans control all of the committees and have a majority in the Senate. Why haven't they done anything?
Second, if your Republican buddies would spend more time campaigning on the issues and spend less time smearing Kerry with lies about his service in Vietnam, his affair with an intern, his sun tan, his French looks and all of the other dumb-fuck things they've dragged out of their asses, maybe there would be some time devoted to discussing an energy bill.
I find it interesting that he didn't complain about Bush's lack of success in passage of the bill. But Mr. Minyo works for the Agri Broadcasting Network. Owned by Clear Channel.
'Nuf said.
