The Over/Unders for the debate:

  • How many times will Bush explicitly refer to September 11? (my guess: 10)
  • How many of these times will Bush tie 9/11 to Saddam Hussein? (8)
  • How many times will Bush say some variant of "flip-flop"? (3)

Any others?

2. Do the references to Sept 11 have to use those words
or can he say "nine-eleven" or "nine one one" or "the attacks on our homeland" or blah blah blah blah

3. He won't tie Sadaam to 9/11
He has the canned response to the obvious question:

No WMD, No Al Queda Link, No nuclear program; Why did we go to war?

Sadaam waz a brutal dicttotor and a free Iraq can change the region altogether.

Kerry's response: "Due respect Mr. President, You did not answer the question. What did you as president, get right in the rationale for the war? When are you going to tell the american people the truth about why we are in Iraq? It's nation-building, and it may be a dismal failure, it may cause civil war. What then Mr. President?. Is Syria next, Mr. President? Do you want to export Democracy to the Arabian Pennisula next?"

4. I know oddsmakers, they're friends of mine, and you're no oddsmaker
Actually I work for them in Las Vegas.

#1 is a good number, slightly high. But #2 is a bet-every-cent-in-the- universe under and same thing for the over on #3.
