Kerry's One Debate Objective: Be Presidential
He doesn't have to "annihilate" Bush*, he doesn't have to "beat" Bush*, he doesn't have to win every point, he doesn't even have to be perfect. All he must do is be seen as someone capable of being an effective president.

Once he is seen in that light, a majority will be ready to kick the Chimp to the curb.

1. I agree
And another point. Side-by-side with Kerry, der Smirkmeister likely won't look presidential, by comparison. It won't due this time for * just to show up and be able to just not embarrass himself. The soft bigotry of low expectations are out the window now post 9/11.

I hear a lot of pundits today saying "The American people want a guy that can make them feel better (to delude them), a 'happy warrior'." I say BS! In normal times, yes, lighthearted, photogenic candidates have the advantage.

Now, post 9/11 I think they most want someone who above all is very competent and who's going to level with them. Two huge vulnerabilities for *.
