Edited on Thu Sep-30-04 01:46 PM by Dr_eldritch
101 is the bare minimum necessary to both develop independant opinions AND rationalize those opinions against the empirical universe.

{on edit}

My first wife had an IQ of @ 120 (I was in hell).
She lived in a fantasy world where she could do no wrong and was constantly endangering her own son!
No facts or truth could get through to her...

16. Maybe this this us something
There was an add in a recent issue of The Nation placed by http://retrovsmetro.org that compared Retro (red states) with Metro (blue states) in several categories. One that caught my eye was:

Nobel Laureates in science and economics
Retro - 23 Metro - 235

Something to ponder.

32. It's an average
None of them are actually AT 161. Most of them are around 50, but the occasional evil supergenius (Dr. Doom, Brainiac, etc.), who of course supports Bush, brings the average up.

I didn't vote in this poll, BTW... I'm sure that 161 vote is a lurking freeper.

25. I think this poll is silly and counterproductive.
Believe it or not.. I think stuff like this just distracts from the real work at hand, getting Kerry elected. Insulting those inclined to vote for Bush is silly.. way to win them over to our side. I like to think of Bush voters as mostly sincere, but uninformed. There are some real assholes, but how can I insult the nice little elderly couples I see driving around in their Buicks with their God Bless AMerica stickers and Bush stickers?? You know.. you're in a store or the post office, and there is a nice person there and you exchange pleasantries, then notice when they get into their car it's emblazened with Bush stickers? How do I somehow insinuate they are stupid, evil, or worse?

I doubt many Bush voters peruse this site...

Those that do are most likely here to cause trouble or get offended...

Also, I asked a straight forward question....

Folks here had a myriad of I Q ranges to choose from...

26. Sadly, while quite a number are dim bulbs, many are smart but selfish...
...or living in fear.

That's the problem: otherwise smart, good people have fallen for the lies and the propaganda from the extreme right. I know, I work with a couple of quite intelligent people who are not only drinking the Kool-Aid, it's their only source of nourishment.

One of them used to be a friend. Sad, really.
