Are people really going to watch tonight?
As much as I enjoy seeing Shrub fuck up, I just cannot stand to see or hear him. For four years, I have successfully avoided almost all exposure to the lying piece of shit.

So, I will have to rely on those with stronger stomachs than me to subject themselves to the audio and video pollution that is Bush*. And afterwards, I will gladly download and view the entertaining parts in which he confirms that he is the absolute worst White House resident in history.

I guess I am just not brave enough to face the enemy, especially when there is nothing that I can do when he lies (speaks) except get more upset and think bad thoughts about my fellow Americans who buy the poison he pushes. God-damn the Busherman!

I wonder how many others feel this way?

There is no way I can watch an our of that idiot, especially not tonight

if it were an actual debate, perhaps I would feel differently, but as it is, there is no way I'm watching

2. In as much as it pains me to watch bush (I avoid it like you do)
it gives me joy to watch John Kerry, so I will suffer through the dipshit to hear JK!

3. I will watch on CSPAN to avoid the talking heads
As much as I hate listening to Monkeyboy I hate listening to the "pundits" turn a sow's ear into a silk purse, which is what they did in 2000 when they Gored Al and gave the gold medal to Bush. Then I will shut off the TV and read Sports Illustrated. Tomorrow when I read about it in the paper and online and see all the commentators on the tube I am certain I will not recognize anything they describe as having really happened.

10. C-Span will have call-ins for half an hour immediately
following and then start the replays at 11pm. Those call-ins should be interesting. They are what the public sees.

4. I'm going to watch it
Edited on Thu Sep-30-04 01:49 PM by Mad_Dem_X
I'll be right there in front of the TV, with my popcorn. :bounce:

On edit: But as soon as it's finished, I'm shutting off the TV. I have no desire to hear any commentary.

6. The only reason I would watch is to see John Kerry talk
I will not trust what the pundits spin on his speaking. I will have to watch myself. And if by chance, shrub fucks up, it will be a party.

unless I watch the debates. Can you?

8. Cheer up - I used to feel that way
if I was sitting here at the computer and I heard his voice on the TV in the other room, I'd jump right up and turn it off. Not anymore. Why? Because the more I watch him, the more I see him going down hill. And I truly enjoy that. His evil is eating him from the inside out.

11. Apparently they expect around 55 million tonight to watch............
Now as for their IQ, I can't vouch for that. After all Bush won the debates with Gore, you know..........k-rist.

12. I'll be watching. My blood pressure will spike and drop like the Dow Jones
Industrial Average, but I'll be watching, especially to 1) Hear Kerry; 2) Ensure that the media treats him with something resembling fairness.

But I agree, 90 minutes of anything with the Chimp in it is demanding on the stomach.

14. I'll be watching, because...
...if Kerry screws up the debate, I'll be on the phone with his campaign staff roaring at them for handing the election to the most unqualified candidate for President in our nation's history.

15. No...
But I would if I were home.

I work Thursday nights (thanks to Bush's economy) - I might get to catch the end of it.

16. I'll be watching
My mechanism for watching Smirk without kicking my TV are:

1. Cold beer.
2. TV remote with "mute" button.
3. More cold beer.

17. I think you should watch it
I can't stand the bastard either, and the sight of him makes me want to puke. BUT, that said, this is a mano to mano match-up between The Brave One and The Horned One- a chance for the simian fuck-face to be taken down the evolutionary chain to his simpering place at the feces-covered bottom where he belongs. Experiencing this debate in bits and pieces and not in real time will not ever let you judge for yourself what really went down- and how far adrift from reality the spinning pundits will be.

Well, those are my 2 cents. I wish you well, in any case.

18. This is what I'm doing!
I'll listen to Air America on the internet and have my TV on CSPAN, CSPAN without sound of course! Shrub sounds so much worse without looking at his face.

I would like to have someone ask "Will the real Shrub stand up!

After the debate, Air America only for their post debate wrap up.

21. I am looking forward to it.
I like it when the pundits tell me after the debate what I just heard during the debate. Thank god for the pundits to straighten out Bush's 8th grade-level speeches for me.

22. Going to a debate party tonight, watching it on CSPAN. . .
going home afterward to avoid watching the talking heads circle jerking for Bush.
