Minnesota
Does anybody know how Kerry is doing in Minnesota? Minnesota used to be such a reliably Democratic state, but after they elected that fucker, Norm Coleman, and that asshole, Penny, I don't know about Minnesota anymore. . . .

1. A recent poll showed Kerry up 10% here, but other polls show
it a toss up. I am going to go ahead and say Kerry will win MN, no prob.

2. It's been up and down but now a slight lead for Kerry but this is on
electoral vote. http://www.electoral-vote.com It is suppose to be a total of all polls but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

3. Coleman and Pawlenty are aberrations.
Coleman's victory was SOLELY due to the manufactured "outrage" over the Wellstone memorial.

And Pawlenty won only because Penny (a conservative Democrat) and Moe (a liberal Democrat) split the Democratic vote.

I don't believe that * has a chance in hell of winning this state. The only reason it was close in 2000 was because of the large numbers of Nader voters (I was one of them).

5. Didn't Penny run as an Independent???
I think he did. I've only lived in MN for a couple of years and really pay more attention to Wisconsin politics, that's where I used to live before we crossed the mighty Mississippi.

8. Penny was an Independent Party candidate
Otherwise known as the Jesse Ventura Party. He was not an independent candidate (common noun "i" -v- proper noun "I")

4. Those guys got in due to luck
Norm Coleman got lucky when his opponent was killed in a plane crash shortly before the election. And it was still close.

I assume you mean Pawlenty, not Tim Penny (who is a populist independent). Pawlenty got lucky in a three-way race with Roger Moe and Penny. And he did not even come close to a mandate vote.

I don't think Minnesota has taken a sharp turn to the right. Remember, Mark Dayton did beat the incumbent, Rod Grams, in his senate election.

BTW: Most of the polls are bogus.

6. IMO, Coleman made his own luck. Or someone made it for him
If you catch my drift.

He should not be in the Senate.
