Where's Osama? must be Kerry's knock-out punch.
If he gets off a good barrage against Bush about how he's made us less safe by invading Iraq, this MUST be his final line. i.e. "....and after all of that, Mr. President, where in the hell is Osama bin LADEN??"

3. Oh come on...that is NOT going to happen.
And if Bush gets Osama tomorrow, he'll win anyway.

But they wouldn't do that because it would just look like a political move.

6. NO....But Definitely Stress He Should Have Gotten Him THEN...
Too risky, they COULD have him as an ace in the hole....but like Richard Clarke said, if they catch him now, he's already grown a million heads, it doesn't even matter any more.

8. First off, they're NOT going to do that!
They don't have him!

And, like I said before, if they DID, just WEEKS before the election, it would look like they were playing games with our national security for political reasons. It would NOT go over well.

hitting him with it.

5. I don't agree
I think it's a bad strategy to place so much emphasis on something that is completely out of his control.

The last thing he needs is to demand to know where bin Laden is only to have Bush pop up with him in the next few weeks.

Kerry should stress that Bush has completely fallen down on his promise to get bin Laden and frame the issue in a way that it won't matter whether bin Laden turns up now or not - that in allowing bin Laden to stay free as long as he did, he allowed him to expand al Quaeda to a degree that threatens us all. That way, if bin Laden, is caught, Kerry can say, "that's great. Glad you finally got him. But it's a day late and a dollar short."

But I definitely think he should not make "where's Osama" a punchline - it could come back to bite him big time at the worst possible moment.

11. Mr. Kerry, please keep saying.........we did not find Osama or
where is Osama or some variations like that. Keep repeating. Like Karl believes, if you say something enough times people will believe it. Perception matters.

14. They may find him tonight
during the debate if * looks like he's in trouble. This will distract many people from even watching it (the networks may even cut away from the debate), and help his polls even if Kerry wipes the floor with him.

16. It's a good way of counteracting a Bush line that could do us damage.
Bush will say, "My opponent believes that we are not safer with Saddam Hussein out of power."

Kerry can respond, "We're not nearly as safe as we would be if we had Osama Bin Laden's head in a box."

17. Don't you all think that if they did have Osama, they'd be talking him up?
Wouldn't that be all that they talk about, like they did with Saddam?

19. But then...
Bush might rip off his mask, revealing that he IS Osama bin Laden, and say: "And it would have worked, too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"

21. No!
This is one they could actually bring about.

The issue isn't "please produce him as promised" , the issue is what the heck is all this other stuff you've been doing.
