I half expect GD04 to go into a panicked tizzy after each of these debates, but there is no reason to panic. Gore, according to the media aftermath, was trounced by Bush and embarrassed himself, and he still went on to win. Kerry just needs to turn in a good preformance. He doesn't have to be spectacular. An objectively bad performance isn't at all helpful, but it isn't the end of the world either.

ok...someone on the randi rhodes show just said that fox news is going to be running the cameras for the debate.

That can't be for real can it? Oh man...I am very nervous for this thing. I don't know if I agree with you about Kerry just needs to not screw up for it to be a success. the guy can't even say his name without sounding confusing.

I am a kerry supporter; gave money, phonebanked, but for the life of me I do not see why he can't just say things in a simple and plain way.

Why can't he just stand up and say that this war is wrong! The whole 'voted for the authority' thing? He should say his war position is like giving cops guns but not giving them the right to shoot anyone they want ....oi! Kerry makes everything so complicated!

I totally know Kerry's position frontwards and backwards!

I have given money to the guy I have phone banked for him ...I am just saying that he needs to be more plain in the way he explains things. Look at how long your post is! Have you spoken to anyone who supports Bush? I phone banked for Kerry this past weekend and spoke to swing voters and the general public gets confused by such explanations.

You gotta speak real simple to compete with jingoisms like, "They hate us for our freedom!"

Sorry if I sound agro I just can't believe what is happening to Kerry in the polls! I believe that this debate is his last chance to really make an impression on the people with out the repug slime machine manipulating his every word!

I actually haven't looked at the polls in a while so i am just going by what they were saying last week when georgie boy was up 13% (yikes!)...interesting about them rigging those up. How would they go about doing something like that anways?

2. here's the thing........

we all know this much;
1;who we're voting for on Nov 2nd
2;that no matter what- the media is gonna spin it towards Bush
3;so-don't watch MSCNBCOX b/c you already know #2
4;that there aren't any undecided voters regardless of what anyone or any
5;poll says who could possibl;y still not know who they're gonna vote for? really
this is a clear cut case of who is going to be better for the country and the world and I believe Kerry will win.
So don't torture yourselves ignore the SCLM make their #'s go down.I haven't watched since the GOP love fest and I'm saner for it and recommend you do the same
