Called for Prayer Support re: Debates Tonight.
I called Silent Unity (800-669-7729), a 24/7 prayer support line that is open to people of all faiths, for support regarding tonight's debates. They will pray 24/7 for the next thirty days about my request. Because of my own religious beliefs, I phrased my specific request as follows (paraphrased at that moment):

"That both candidates would show their true character, those watching would be able to discern this, and choose between them with wisdom for the benefit of all of us."

If anyone else is moved to do so, please join with me during the debates in this prayer, using whatever phrasing works best for you.

Thank you in advance if you decide to join me.

Best, Ida

4. I sent Reiki to Kerry
with a very similiar wording in my thoughts. I really had to center myself to be putting my energy to the good of all and not to be wishing for Bush to fall on his face and break his nose, but I did it!

7. It is a form of energy healing
It is very positive it is impossible to be negative or selfish with it. It involves channeling Ki or life force or whatever your particular religious beliefs would call the positive energy that makes the universe tick. It is an amazing tool, if you have interest in this type of thing I would HIGHLY recommend looking into it. Most areas have Reiki healers that you can get a treatment from, it usually costs about the same as a massage. You can also probably find a Reiki Master in your area to take Reiki I from. It sounds strange and out there, but it really works. I find that I typically use it more for meditation and prayer focus and for self-healing or when those particularly close to me are in pain. I need a bit more centering before I take my practice much farther.

And your prayer is EXACTLY what I was praying for, too!
