1. Don't feel bad. I'm in Indiana.
We were one of the first states to go to Bush. I hate my state. I'm too liberal for it.

5. I admire you, Bamagirl.
If you have stuck it out in Dothan as a Dem, then you are to be highly commended. Dothan is one bastion of RW extremists. If you can stand the heat and humidity there, then why not move south to Florida? We need more sane people in Florida to tip the balance of one southern state in our favor.

8. I'm thinking about Oregon lol.
Somewhere not in the South. I'm going to go ahead and get my degree finished here and see what my husband has to do to get certified in Oregon or Washington state. Mexico is sounding pretty damned good right now too lol.

12. I'm an Alabama ex-pat living in Oregon
I love it here but outside of Portland & Eugene it's just like Alabama except for the scenery.

To all of those who can't stand the political climate of Alabama but love living there otherwise, do as someone else suggested and move to Florida where you can have the biggest impact ;)

Otherwise the Northwest is a great place to live!

7. Anyone see FTR on PBS tonight?
They said that in Bama 9/10 black men voted for Kerry and 8/10 white men voted for Bush. (Maybe they said ppl? Caught the end of it.)

I do believe that says it all.

11. These numbers are bad.
We have a lot of work to do here in Bama next year.

Anyone seen the county numbers yet? Houston Co to be exact? I found some, but for some reason my computer won't download them. The resident computer guru (my husband) is asleep lol.

13. If the Dem Party can come to the center
and revive itself as the "Party of the American Farmer", we would be unbeatable.

Think about it, be moral and for the union worker. SLAM DUNK!!!

But oh no, Micheal Moore and Springsteen failed... but we will try them again.

14. I think most of us Southern Democrats ARE center.
You just gotta get past the abortion issue. I've been thinking about this a lot this week. If we can't find someone to run in our district in 2006, I may just do it myself, and this is the major issue for most people (farmers no less!) in my district.

15. the Democratic party as a whole is much closer to the center than
the republicans, don't let the media fool you. I don't see any Democrats out there urging people to get abortions. Many Democrats are personally against abortion but we realize that it's a personal decision. You have to look inside for the answers to unanswerable questions and my answer may not be your answer. Some people just can't listen to the muted voice of reason....

16. Seriously?
The Enterprise/Dothan area is farm country, and from what I have heard out of you... I think you can do a great job.

If you decide to run against (Terry Everett, yikes!) please tell me when it happens. I will be MORE than glad to help ya.
