A little late, but boil your water in Phoenix
Just talked to someone at City of Phoenix, there is a problem with water here. We need to sterilize our water due to some debris found in the water. It is okay for showering though. They said to buy bottled water. If you have a filtration system in your house to shut it off so the debris does not clog your system. They hope everything will be okay at noon on Wed.

1. This happens all the time!
Last year too. And in 2003 Phoenix was cited for, among other things, failing to comply with basic water safety monitoring and reporting requirements. Phoenix ranks at the bottom 5 of U.S. cities in tap water quality.

So tired of this....
grrrr

2. I never drink the water here.....
It is nasty. Have you ever read those pamphlets that SRP distributes. Frightening! However, what is more frightening is the water kills my plants. I have a green house. If I set the humidifier up too high my plants will get a nasty coating of something on them and die. I put a culligan filter on the line but that doesn't help. The water is just terrible.

If you haven't ever read about it you should read about the underground pollution from defense contractors. They monitor it. There are two huge spills of some sort. They say they have moved enough now that they are starting to merge. If I get a chance I'll try to find a link and update this post. It is worth reading.
