Anyone hear any stories about Dem voters enduring shenanigans?
Anyone find their party affiliation has changed or they've been dumped from the rolls or anything like that?

1. YES
I found that I was registered as a repuke during the primaries... don't know how that happened, but I know I couldn't vote for the Dem. candidate that I wanted. I was PISSED OFF!!!! All it said was "George W. Bush." Anyway, I fixed it the next day so I guess the one positive is that somewhere, some poll will show that another republican switched parties!

3. LA changed me into a repub.
I registered for my absentee ballot at the end of January - in February I got a REPUBLICAN ballot! I was going to re-register, but my husband thought I should leave it - if they're going to play those games, let them think I'm on their side.
However, I had to reregister to get a ballot for the November election (which is also wrong - once a year should be sufficient for all the elections in that year), and I restated myself as a Dem. Let's see what they do now.

4. I've heard this story alot. My theory:
it takes you off the call lists for Demo phone banks, which makes it harder for them to get out your vote.

Meanwhile, the Repubicans are able to reach all their voters, and they're able to talk to a few Dems. I guess it wastes a little of their time.

But, actually Republicans rely on TV and not phone banks and precinct walking, so they don't lose very much at all by making their lists longer, and they gain a lot by making the Demo lists shorter.

It only takes a second to call to check your registration.

Everyone should do it. And if they're something fucked up, call your local Dem party and check your registration.

6. I'd suggest checking with the election office if this has occured
and asking why you were changed from one party to another. There should be some documentation why. If a form was signed to do this, that's forgery.
