I sincerely hope the Democratic Party FINALLY stands up, dusts itself off, and hits the Republicans in the jaw. It's time that from the governor down to the dog catcher, Dems get on message and fight with a fire in the belly like never seen before.

Today the Republicans took a huge step towards putting an amendment on the ballot which will sabotage 1.6 million voters who signed a petition to make our lawmakers draw competitive legislative districts. The Republicans are calling for teacher accountability, but they don't want it for themselves.

They voted to expand vouchers in a the middle of a recession which is draining public schools of resources.

The voted to expand student testing to levels not seen before.

We have record unemployment.

They now are trying to thwart the will of the voters to give us competitive legislative districts.
