I went to a benefit yard sale this morning for the Civic Media Center (fabulous books and political magazine back issues!)--the guy (from CMC) asked what DU was when he saw my bumper sticker--I said it's a Democratic think-tank that you should check out and he said you might be interested in this:

1. DU think tank, uhmmm, I like that...

...as for the flier, is this a F911 type documentary film? Are these being shown elsewhere. Wasn't Julian Bond recently attacked by Busheviks with character smears and false stories? Help me out here, I recall something not too long ago.

2. I love Julian Bond.

He won a major censorship case years ago. He spoke out against the VietNam war. I have loved him ever since.

He is affiliated with the Southern Poverty Law Center, too. Great man.

3. Bond has been speaking out lately about supression of

black votes, and the new tactics the GOPers are using to do this.

The only smear I could find was in a column by Cal Thomas, who does not count because he is an ass and a fool.

4. When I worked at UF a few years ago

I walked by the CMC every day I went to work. I found out about two war protests there, and I went to them. After I stopped working at UF, I never could find out about protests so I only went to the two.

I loved the Hippodrome, too.

I could live in Gainesville, some day, and there are very few Florida cities I could say that about.
