This is a free event open to the public. Anyone plan on going? I live maybe 15 minutes away from TD Waterhouse building. I'm considering going. The only problem I have is that I would have to bring my 2 year old son with me. I'm not sure how long this thing is going to last and whether he will be able to sit through it. I guess I could try bringing him and leave early if he starts to get too cranky. They also say not to bring bags, but its really hard to go any place with a toddler and not bring a bag of diapers, wipes, drinks, and snacks. Maybe if it is a clear bag they won't care.

1. I'm heartsick...(m)
I would love to go, but that's the one night of the week that my husband works late and I live a good hour+ away from the TDW. I also have three children, two of whom would be a nightmare to bring to something like this. I'm so disappointed. I really wanted to see them.

I'd think a small clear bag with a toddler would probably be alright.

2. It looks like I won't be going either.
It seems you have to get there at 6pm to get a seat, but Kerry and Edwards won't be speaking until 9pm. This means that the event would probably end past 10pm. That's just too late for my son to be out. Hopefully some other DU members will be going so they can give us an update.

5. My husband went.
I don't think he realized they would not speak until 9, though. Oh, well. He won't care. A whole busload went from our area. He took our digital camera just in case, had a VIP ticket so at least he would not be way in the back....hopefully.

3. A bus is leaving from Lakeland and Auburndale.
Quite a few are going from here. $8 for the bus, tickets at the local DEC office. Hubby is going, but darn it, I can't today.

4. Never mind...bus from Lakeland/Auburndale is full now.
That was quick. Got the notice, went straight to DEC office, and 5 seats left. Hubby did get a ticket, though, for near the front of the rally.
