Sam Sheldon is running for Congress in the 19th District against Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

If elected Sam Sheldon would be the youngest member of Congress. At 28, he has turned down a six-figure salary at a DC law firm in order to run for Congress.

Sam Sheldon is refusing special interest money, and is highlighting his opponents ties to Big Sugar, Big Tobacco and other special interests who buy and sell our politicians.

Sam Sheldon is running as a progressive in the mold of Claude Pepper, who held the seat before the right wingers hijacked the district in 1988.

1. I've visited his site. Did he get the filing fee straightened out?

He would represent the area where I go to college.

He raised the money at the last minute and was able to file for the seat.

I'm probably going to join his campaign when I get back down to Florida, if he wins the primary. It would be great if he backed his fellow Miamian Penelas

If anyone could actually beat Ileana I'd be celebrating for a month!

I'll pass the info on Sheldon on to my parents, they still live in the district.

I believe Ros-Lehtinen is the 18th district and Wexler (D) is the 19th. either way, I hope that uberRepublican is defeated. after she picked up Monroe County in redistricting you'd think she'd have a tougher time, but politics is unpredictable.
