On-Air TV Fight Ends In Thrown Chair

TAMPA, Fla. -- Two men were debating Israel when things got heated. They began trading insults.

A political debate on a Tampa television station spun out of control on Saturday and ended with one guest throwing a chair at the other

As the moderator tried to calm things down, one of the men stormed off the set.

That's when he threw a chair at his opponent from somewhere, off-camera.

The exchange took place on a show called "The Bleeping Truth," which airs on a community affairs channel.

The moderator said the two have appeared on the program before without any physical confrontations.

The man who threw the chair is Tony Katz, a Republican and the host of an Internet talk show.

The man hit by the chair is Joe Redner, a Democrat running for a county commission seat. Redner also is the well-known owner of a Tampa strip club.

13. The Swamp Thing...
oh no, sorry. He was from Louisanna. Born from the toxic chemical dumped in the swamps.

14. Correct...you mean the Man-Thing!
Best written by Steve Gerber of "Howard the Duck" fame. The Man-Thing was a scientist who fell in a swamp with a bunch of chemicals, and turned into a shambling, mindless wreck of a problem. In one of the weird things, it was only sensitive to fear.

"Whatever knows FEAR...BURNS at the Man-Thing's touch!"

Curiously, it was nearly always the bad people who expressed enough fear to burn. Other people might be in pain, being killed, whatever...but only the bad guys feared.

The problem in the current political environment is, EVERYBODY is afraid. So if Man-Thing comes, run!

3. Don't Ya Just Love How They Tossed...
"Redner also is the well-known owner of a Tampa strip club" in there? ...for good measure of course.

6. How could they not?
C'mon, a chair-throwing Republican and a strip-club owning Democrat candidate for public office? Any writer would pounce on that. Too much drama!
