A survey? A survey is you calling me and asking me whether I like Coke or Pepsi. Not you calling me and saying Jim Davis is out to hurt Florida's families -- and won't I please tell my friends and neighbors about it.

"I know," the manager says. "It's very biased."

All of a sudden, I like my new manager friend a bit more.

The truth of the matter, as the Sentinel has reported before, is that Florida's Working Families Inc. is funded by U.S. Sugar Corp. -- or "Big Sugar," as we Floridians like to say.

And hey, Big Sugar . . . well, this probably isn't the only reason people hate you. You guys using the Everglades as a dumping ground probably did that long ago. But you get the point.
