Are you folks getting the Marriage Amendment call?

It's hit our answering machine four times in the last two days. I finally listened to the whole thing. It's an African-American voice asking us to vote yes (defining marriage as man and a woman) on Amendment one.

My wife and I are hoping that folks think, "I can vote yes on this to keep it locally, and vote for Kerry."

I'm talking about folks for whom this is a concern. We obviously have no problem with gay marriage.

1. The fascist bastard baptist preachers here in Mississippi

are doing a key stone cops routine trying to ensure their lemmings vote Yes. They are confused. They figure since they don't like homosexuality they should vote no on the amendment. So damn funny if it were not so damn sad. I gave a local a solution; just tell your people if you HATE HOMOS vote Yes.

I received the call and found it both offensive and deceitful. How will defeating this amendment leave Georgia children motherless and fatherless as my phone call said?

3. What really ticks me off about this ...

is that the call you got was probably federally-funded. Many of us on the left believe that *'s "faith-based initiatives" are hand-outs of federal funds given in exchnage for pro-Republican political activism. Lot of evidence that this is true.
