I am in Judy Biggert's district behind the Dupage Curtain, so there's no chance in hell of change here, so I gave Tammy's campaign $25 in the hopes that we can take Hyde's old seat and put it to good use...

Well, technically, I heard it...but a woman comes on saying she was surprised to hear Roskam was running as a candidate. She says he wanted to ban books in her school district and gives a long list of titles. Then it closes by saying Roskam is too extreme for the people of Illinois.

Seals 42% kirk 44%. kirk is an arrogent weisel who has no desire to speak to his constiuency. He blew off WTTW Seals went, he blew off NPR, Seals went, he blew off the local fox news, Seals went, he blew off a Baptist church in Waukegan, Seals went (I doubt kirk knows Waukegan exists from what the local politicians are saying about him.) It's a VERY exciting race. Seals is speaking everywhere and has lots of new supporters many of them repubs. Momentum is on our side. I've been volunteering on his campain. kirks reputation as a moderate is disolving.

19. DNCC Spots For Tammy Have Started

I noticed Rahm finally coughed up some coin in this race, but yesterday the RNCC dumped another $850g in TV time for RoScum.

Tammy has a two-fold situation. Most the ad money on TV for RoScum is coming directly from the RNCC and RNC...they run the hatchet ads, while he'll run one of his own once in a while with the puppy dog and the kids and how he's gonna save his parents social security :puke:

The deal here isn't just to saturate the airwaves, there's an attempt by the repugnicans to freeze Duckworth off the air as much as possible by booking up as much airtime as they can. It truly is a desperation move as that means the ads they're running aren't getting through and they're afraid hers are.

On Monday I posted a Daily Herald story saying Duckworth had only $200G COH (Cash on Hand) for GOTV operations, yard signs and all the little things that will get voters to the polls on election day. I've kicked in more money and hope others have as well.

I'm in the 8th district and I'm not happy with the candidate I'm working for, but this one's for the team...we need people like Conyers and Waxman with subpoena power and to put the brakes on this regime. I don't expect the "DuPage Curtain" (I love that term, too) to turn blue overnight, but we're a lot better off today than 10 years ago.

My wife showed me an article in the Tribune (I think...i'll try to find a link) that shows the voter profile in DuPage is 25% Democratic, 25% Repugnican and 50% "Independent"...now talk about a shift in either opinions or demographics or both.

I did some driving around and I have noticed 4-1 Roskam signs compared to Duckworth signs. I am going to stop by the Duckworth office this week and give some money and get a few signs.

This is the Rove race card disguised under the term "illegal immigration"...it really mean discrimination against those dirty, smelly Mexican who won't learn English and "dirty up their towns"...but they sure do cut a mean lawn.

There's also the "tax" angle on this one that infers that Duckworth favors a tax hike...she doesn't...and that she favors "giving services to illegals"...the codewords that "Democrats want socialism (commies)" and love brown-skinned people more than white ones.

How ironic they bitch about "supporting the Kennedy" immigration bill...it's identical to what boooosh wants.

"Immigration" isn't really an issue in the 6th District, but neither was Gay Marriage in many states in '04...but it's an emotional issue and one that will get the bigots and racists to the polls...and that's the Repugnican base.

There's also the "Nancy Peolsi" codeword (woman)...and no "real man" wants a woman with all that power! In fact, both these women should be home rasin' babies.

I'm not in the district, but I've kicked in more money to this race than I have for the one in my own backyard and this seat is a lot more important...and I'd hate to see a lost opportunity because the Duckworth campaign came up a couple bucks short on election day.

Fortunately yard signs aren't an indication of a candidate's strength...just the ability to pay a bunch of lackeys to ride their pick-ups around at 3am and spam intersections with signs.

I saw an interview with Rahm Emanuel the other day...and while I'm not a fan of his, he sure sounds determined that the Democrats are gonna take this seat and hopefully he's directing some funds into Tammy's GOTV and ground efforts.
