I hated him before, but these land dealings are tipping me right over the edge

1. Yes, I'm in Weller's district, too. ..
in Eastern Will County. We may have a candidate running against Weller, but he has not made his decision, yet. I hope he hurries up. Weller already has a sizeable war chest for his campaign. And a challenger will need a million dollars or more to reach the entire district. I was on the campaign staff for John Pavich, who ran against Weller in 2006.

2. I voted for Pavich (of course), and hope we have a strong candidate
this time. In fact, let me know, if your guy tosses his hat in. I'd be interested in volunteering.

I can NOT understand why anyone would vote for Weller. I've heard him speak twice, and both times he just regurgitated GOP talking points. And now these land dealings in Central America.

This SOB needs to go!!

3. Yep
I know him personally. I have, on two occasions, IN PUBLIC, corrected him on economic issues regarding the district, state or macroeconomy. When a few weeks later, he spoke again, i went up to him and asked "Jerry, are you too stupid to understand what i told you or are you just a liar?"

That's happened twice, both at industry or banking functions.

It was pretty fun.

He's a silverspoon twit who's never worked a day in his life. He's already rich and believes that entitles him to get richer. He has no idea how the real people live and he's accomplished almost nothing in hearly 20 years of political life.

And don't get me started on his "beard" wife and her murderer father.

5. She's a beard?! Hmmm...Curiosity piqued.
I guess, now that you mention it, it makes sense.

And as to whether he's stupid or a liar, the two possibilities are not mutually exclusive :)

4. I am in his district as well
but moved here very recently.

Apparently you have to either be corrupt or a closet homosexual to be in the Republican Party.
