Obama Paying For Election Night Rally

Asked if he objected to Obama's decision to hold the rally in Grant Park, Daley said, "Could you see me saying no to Sen. Obama? Give me a break. I'm not that dumb."

The mayor said the indoor United Center "would be much easier but the campaign so far ... wants to do it in the open. They applied for the permit."

This will be the first year all my kids are old enough to vote. We were going to make a party out of it. Now it will be a party with Barack!

this is as amazing and significant and historic as being there for the "I Have a Dream" speech as far as I'm concerned. And it's happening in MY hometown. I think it's worth hopping on the el to see history in the making.

I got an email to sign up to get a ticket. Seems it might be a lottery and depends on how many people they have here in Illinois. One ticket that is good for the person whose name is on it and a guest. Must have ID to get in. Don't know if I will get one or not. I think I heard they are only going out to those who live in Illinois and have donated or volunteered during the past months.
